2015 Posters on the Hill
September 18, 2014

In the spring of 2015, the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) will host its 19th Annual Posters on the Hill, which is held in Washington, D.C. There will be an evening poster session and reception where students will have the opportunity to speak directly to members of Congress and demonstrate how they have been impacted by undergraduate research opportunities. The exact dates for Posters on the Hill will be set once the Congressional calendar for spring 2015 is finalized.
Last year, TWO students from Purdue Honors College were selected out of 600 applicants nationwide! Haefa Mansour, College of Engineering, and Kathryn (Katie) Reinhart, College of Science, presented their research at the event (pictured above). Before leaving for last year's event, Haefa expressed her hopes for making an impact on the nation's lawmakers.
"I hope to be able to demonstrate to our congressmen the positive impact that my research experience has had on me."
If you would like to apply, please contact Dr. Liz Brite at britee@purdue.edu or Catharine Patrone at cpatrone@purdue.edu for more information. Full information on CUR’s Posters on the Hill can be found at the Council on Undergraduate Research's webpage.
